I knew exactly what I had in mind when I made the decision to rebrand my small speaker’s bureau.
I wanted a logo that was simple, modern, classic, and prestigious. I wanted a logo that was designed for a company being built to stand the test of time. I had a lot riding on the success of my new agency, and I was determined to find and select a reputable branding agency.
A company in my network that caters to the events industry, referred me to DCM Communications (https://dcmcommunications.com) I’ve learned some tough lessons in business, and one of them is that when it comes to utilizing the services of a vendor, my preference is to obtain recommendations versus trying out the services of someone brand new to me, that I have no firsthand knowledge of.
Not only did DCM Communications ask me all of the right questions in order to ascertain what it was I was looking for, (they sent me an entire packet) they were so very informative about all that branding entailed.
When I initially laid eyes on the new logo, I was smitten.
Instantaneously, I knew that not only was it the one, but that it needed absolutely no revisions, which is highly unusual for me.
I normally have revisions done for most things that others create on my behalf, because I want it done…well…perfectly. For me, accepting the logo with no revisions was a huge thing. I am notoriously picky and a perfectionist when it comes to work product.
I was so impressed that this ‘mystery designer’ was able to capture what I wanted on the first try using only the descriptive information that DCM Communications communicated to them, that I wanted to know exactly who the designer was.
Enter: Pomp Creative Design’s (https://pompcreative.com) Liz Imber.
I began following Pomp Creative on Instagram and found myself enamored with every single design Liz Created! Frankly stated, I have no particular personal or professional interest whatsoever in graphic design for the sake of graphic design.
Yet, I was in fact smitten with and in admiration of her specific gift, craft, and talent.
Congratulations to DCM Communications and Pomp Creative for winning a 2018 GDUSA Award for the design of our logo. The award is well-deserved. I knew that ‘logo’ was the ‘one,’ long ago. I have an ‘eye,’ and I know my ‘it’ when I see my ‘it.’
May God continue to bless the work of your hands, Liz.
